About Me

Welcome to my artistic world! I’m Yusser Al-Qazwini, a self-taught artist with a unique international journey. Originally born in Algeria to Iraqi parents, I was raised in Libya due to my father’s career as a professor. My educational path led me to Malaysia, where I pursued my college studies and eventually earned a PhD in Fiber-optics Engineering. In 2016, I embarked on a new chapter by migrating to the United States.

Inspired by diverse cultural experiences, the stories from my parents, and the world around me, I primarily work with oil and acrylic on canvas, while also exploring various other artistic forms. My artistic journey began to take shape when I held my inaugural solo exhibition at Universiti Putra Malaysia in early 2010. Since then, I’ve participated in numerous group exhibitions across the globe, including Malaysia, the Philippines, Iraq, Canada, and the United States. My primary artistic mission revolves around self-expression and the generation of inspiration.

I’m not only passionate about visual art but also deeply dedicated to performance art. During my school years, I had the privilege of performing in renowned Libyan theaters, fueling my love for live performance. This passion for storytelling extends to my work in writing articles and creating videos on social media, where I share uplifting narratives.

Throughout the pandemic, I’ve been actively producing content that showcases my art, particularly through captivating “reels” on social media platforms. Join me on this creative journey as we explore the harmonious blend of art, culture, and storytelling.
